NYC Green Build Direct Entry Program
NYC Green Build Workforce Development is a New York State Department of Labor Certified Pre-Apprenticeship Program designed to equip participants with hands-on training in the green building trades. Hosted at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island, NY, the program offers an immersive learning experience in real-world construction settings, emphasizing sustainable building practices and environmental stewardship.
Experiential Learning
Engaged in a dynamic blend of weekly field trips to various industry-relevant sites, participants will observe and learn from experienced professionals, further enriching their understanding of the green building sector.
Comprehensive Curriculum
The program covers essential workplace skills, personal development, safety standards, including OSHA 30 training, to ensure well-rounded professional readiness. Also included is dedicated mental health support and team-building activities to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Industry Partnership
Through strategic collaborations with NYS Registered Apprenticeship Programs, the program offers participants a direct pathway to interviews and potential placement within these prestigious programs, aligning training with real job opportunities in the union construction
trades and clean energy jobs.
